Posted by Kit Eaton at 7:22 PM on August 21, 2008
At the start of last month we mentioned that Sony Ericsson's TM506 would be coming to T-Mobile as the first HSDPA handset, and now it's official. Out early September at "select T-Mobile retail stores and online." Price still to be announced. [SonyEricsson]

Nice phone.
But the green is a bit...too much.

Looks like a decent clamshell.
I haven't checked lately, but did S/E finally improve their GUI? Back when I used one of their phones, it was slow, prone to freeze, and awkward to navigate even after owning it for 6 months. So annoying, in fact, that I went back to my old phone (Siemens).

Well this is an odd post. Looks like something my 11 year old sister would use. Oh, HSDPA. How cute.

@theMOE: I dance with T-Mobile. She's a cheap date and she doesn't mind that I ignore her most of the time.

@theMOE: Not that there's anything wrong with fat chicks :)

This actually looks pretty nice... In 2001. Poor T-Mobile. They are like the fat chick at the Prom. We know she exists, but nobody wants to dance with her.

I swear these phone designers who choose these colors of like bright green and neon anything needs to be sent to the slaughter or something to that effect. I love the phone itself but the color... oh god... the color... when will they learn?

@Killjoy: Hey, to each it's own. Just be careful with the leftover gunk between the rolls of her belly. You know, the rolls that "Stick together".

No candybar SE's = don't give one rat's scrotum. I wish T-Mobile had some higher end Ericssons to offer.

Also, if you want affordable plans, T-Mobile is the place to go.

Oh boy, another flip phone. You know, if you like flip phones or boring phones, T-Mobile is the place to go. I blame Apple for locking the iPhone. Assholes.

@theMOE: I think you're missing the point of my use of your analogy. I am endorsing a phone company, not a body type.

@newdeepdan: My guess is that most of these phones with ugly-ass colors (such as this one) start off looking pretty good when they leave the design team. It's likely that some marketing genius or committee that pushes for these colors.
I've seen many good designs turn to shit after being subjected to design-by-committee.
T-Mobile seems to be one of the worst when it comes to hairbrain colors choices.
