It ended up being the DVD-ROM that comes with the 360 that made the noise in their tests. The fan noise was fine.

@conception: All I've got is motorstorm and GT5 Prologue with Logitech wheel to entertain the guests when they come over. Any real gaming is done on PC or 360. This case would actually look badass next to my PC tower which is also a Lian Li PC-65. It would be cool if you could shoe horn the hd-dvd drive in there as well.

It most likely generates the JavaScript by simply shoving your name into it with no parsing or formatting:

So if you had an apostrophe in your name you can see why you'd get a JavaScript error.

My 8th 360 was in an open space, riding on an ANTEK laptop cooler....measured with a RAYTECH IR thermometer, there was never a surface on it that registered more then 85 degrees....the exhaust temp was never more than 95 degrees.....it was never overheated, moved while playing, and rarely had more than 3 hours of gaming time at a clip.....It didn't even go a year before it RRoD'd....the new one is not even 3 weeks old( MFG'd april 08, 08..)...it has frozen 3 times and this morning i got the single 4th quadrant light, which is Hardware Failure..This thing reminds me of a saying I learned in the used car business......You Can't Shine Shit....

i dont know what everyones bragging about the ps3 for. i still prefer a ps3 to an xbox, but i still think my ps3 can get kinda loud. maybe not as loud as a 360, but the sound is still noticeable.

My original xbox 360 works fine, first gen. Hell, my original xbox works fine (first gen, and I put a modchip in it.. held down with folded paper against the dvd drive). So, your mileage may vary.

I had a thread going on XBOX.com on how I'm on my 9th 360( of course, they deleted it)...but in a nutshell, the first seven, all made before dec 06 had disc drive errors, (3 were actually bad all within three weeks)..the eight was made in july 07, purchased in aug 07, and RRoD'd 3 weeks ago...the new one, like I said, was made in apr 08, and is 3 weeks old, and is already giving me trouble...I got light yesterday, but after a cords out reset, it seems to be working OK...you can see my set-up here...
