So incredibly tempted ... but it doesn't really go with my car.

Dammit, it was either this, Ultimate Wall-E, or the Ion Drum Rocker as my ridiculous $300 gadget purchase for the month, and the drums won out.

I want to make my Garmin a Mr. T GPS. I figure all I need is his voice, and paint my Garmin to look like the Van. Think someone will run w/that idea?

@bandit: There was video when it was announced. The lights sweep, and you can program it to say "Good morning (your name)."

This could be great or lame. Do the lights sweep or just blink? Need some video, please.

To Chowderfacial, On the Tomtom you can get real celebrity voices from Navtones, like the Mr. T voice. The thing that makes the Knight Rider GPS so cool is that it is powered by Navtones, making the voice the real K.I.T.T. Can't wait!

@ChowderFacial: I just bought a Garmin. I'm happy b/c I can drive a Tron Light Cycle, the Tumbler, the 1960's Batmobile, or the Mach5.

@BiZarRroBALlmeR: When you end a bluetooth call, it tells you to "quit your Jibber-Jabber". If you program in your mothers house or as mothers day approaches, it plays this video:

Wow. No Text to Speech. That's a bummer.
Good thing my name is Michael so setup is a breeze there.
I wonder how hackable it is?
My Mio C230 is an AWESOME PMP after applying an unlocking package that's out there for it.
They've made changes with the newer models so I don't read as much about them being opened up.
Either way this looks neat for the fans.
At least you can turn much of the frippery off for the non-fans you're traveling with if they aren't entranced by it.
