LG's KC910 is the New Viewty, With 8-Megapixel Camera

Nearly two months ago we teased you with a mocking mock-up of LG's upcoming KC910 mobile phone, but now over at Phone Arena there's a real image, and official specs. The KC910 is a successor to the Viewty and it's no image-slouch: there's an 8-megapixel cam in that shiny body with a xenon flash, Schneider-Kreuznach lens, and shooting up to ISO 1600. It also does VGA video at 30fps and can do high-speed 120fps filming, though this is at QVGA resolution. There's even GPS for geotagging your imagery and navigation.
The mobile phone even has a set of auto-options you normally see on full digital cameras: with face detection, automatic blink-avoidance detection, smile detection and a digital image stabilisation mode. Amazingly there's even a manual-focus option, which should please photography fans.
The phone portion of the gizmo is a quad-band GSM, with HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps, and Bluetooth 2.0. The phone also has Wi-Fi connectivity, takes microSD cards for memory expansion up to 8GB and has a 3-inch 400 x 240 touchscreen. It's due to hit the streets in October. [Phone Arena]

unfortunately for the world, LG will surely make this into a piece of shit in terms of usability, and Verizon will cut off its last remaining leg.

...why is no one happy that this phone is quadband? LG (and Samsung) usually release their high-end devices in a non-US triband flavor. Although, the 3G most likely won't work here in the US.
The OS will be LG's own homegrown one (think LG Prada UI), which isn't a terrible thing (though not great).

Truly hope LG fixed their borked up interface, but can't expect much.
Hardware wise, this thing is beautiful.

What OS is it running and is that a slide keyboard i see.
The crease between the battery and screen looks like a possible keyboard.
If a phone that skinny has a keyboard as well as a full 3inch touchscreen they've got me sold.

Ive had the viewty ku990 for 8 months now(this one's mother/grandma...), and know people who have owned it. If the KC910 is anything like the KU990, I would run away!!! The KU990 is Slooooooooow as hell in respose time and has an interface & OS designed by 7 year olds, for instance text messages are diplayed in a font size of probably 15pixels which is very frustrating for business users , and people who like email. As for the camera (5mpix), which is the main reason i wouldnt bother with this new model, is extremely bad! my 3Mpx D900 takes better pictures whithout doubt. By the way, the manual focus function, is quite a joke!! I doubt i would buy an LG again. One positive thing I might add is that the batery life was very good!
