I think the pricing was a little more 'affordable' when the iPhone was priced higher. OTOH, I still think it's a pretty cool idea. From the photos I've seen of people who have one, it looks like Colorware does a great job. I think that it makes a very cool and different gift for someone who doesn't mind paying for it.

I kinda wish they would leave/copy the text on the bottom of the iphone over. I'd laugh if someone bought a black iphone and turned it into a white one or vise versa.

Dude, Colorware is badass! I bought a camo-colored gree PS3 from these guys, and yeah, it cost me $800, but it was worth every damn penny.

Too bad the colors are so lame. I want a tortoise shell iPhone (or just an iPhone) or a scratch n' sniff iPhone. I suppose these phones are just vomit retention practice until the U2 and Coldplay iPhones come out.
