I don't have the 3G but an official unlocked IPhone. I download my mails from work with Push-email over the wifi connection from home. Since the update to the 2.0.2 the wifi push email does not work anymore :(

I have the impression that the wifi is being turned off when the phone goes to standby, which could be the reason for not receiving the updates.

When in standby and I press the home button and the screen comes on again, the Wifi icon dissapears after half a second and comes back on. At this point I receive push-email when a receive a new mail during that period.

Is this a malfunction or on purpose to make people get the 3G???

After attempting to download the update 20+ times, I found a workaround for the problem. First, exit iTunes.

Then, download the update from the link on this site: http://www.iphone-hacks.com/downloads/file/135

Copy the file to the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

then restart iTunes and click 'install' to update your iPhone.

this workaround will eliminate the need to download the update using itunes.

good luck - hope it works for you!

Upgraded my iphone with 2.0.2

- Safari can now properly display Chinese font on web sites
- Can't run any 3rd party app until reinstalling a single app (same deal for upgrading from 2.0 to 2.0.1)
- Contact lag still exists
