&lt;p&gt;Think of the relative poor quality of the recordings during that era.&lt;br /&gt;
Most people wanted hi fidelity and bass to give more impact to the sound.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It  would take tech advances in recording quality to really exploit the potential of stereo and multi channel sounds we have today in movie theatres&lt;/p&gt;</description>
