CVT i3101 iPhone Dock Doesn't Need Your Stinkin' iPhone

The CVT i3101 is not so different than the countless other iPhone/iPod alarm clocks we've seen on the market, but it does have a few standout features. First off, it's wall-mountable, saving you ever-precious nightstand space and giving your home that "wow, I have electronics stuck to my wall just like Tony Stark!" feel. Plus, the i3101 supports SD cards, allowing you to still play MP3s when your spouse/questionable one-night partner runs off with the iPhone/your kidney in the morning. The CVT i3101 runs US$100 and is available at this very moment. [100milligrams via technabob]

I wish that the Zune had more docking stations like the iPod/iPhone does... And no, I do not have a Zune or Microsoft tattoo.

As to the iPhone dock, will it be future-iPhone compatible? Apple was kind of douchy by making the iPhone 3G not compatible with older docks.

This is not to say that my ass is a universal connector. Nothing docks with my ass. It is for the discharge of waste products and venting of methane gas and other noxious fumes.

Does it work with the Iphone 3g? I was sad when I found out that ihome ih41 did not support the iphone.

@SeattleTed: check that I just noticed the power cord will attach to the side so, a recessed electric box will be pointless as you'll still have the cord dangling off to the side. Also lame, it doesn't appear to have HD radio which should be standard no?

@godwhacker: Lol that was my first thought. This to me reads like a weekend dry wall with recessed jbox installation followed by painting (may you have leftovers of the same color somewhere in your house) project..to really get the Tony Stark look.

I can totally see myself knocking this off the wall and breaking both it and my iPod in the process of trying to hit the snooze button.... It looks pretty sweet though.

I'm glad they're making speakers that are properly shielded for the iPhone, but what the hell is wrong with them, it doesn't look like the dock is usable when in landscape mode. Don't they realize that people watch video on their iphone?

I've seen many of these iPhone/iPod alarm clock docking sound stations. I really need one that allows for multiple alarms throughout the night but usually there is only one alarm available. Does anyone know of a gizmo that has that capability (I'm using an iPod touch).

I just got my new Sony Ericsson W980i which is great! Massive storage of 8GB - no need for a fancy device which looks like it's going to break any second. The sound quality is awesome!! No need for any iPods and their additional gadgets!!

Looks like it's got a kick stand if you're not into wall-mounting. I wonder if this is dual-voltage? Nothing in the spec sheet.
