Blurred Photos Show Latest Motorola RAZR VE20 Coming to Sprint
Posted by Kit Eaton at 7:58 PM on August 13, 2008
Over at PhoneArena they've got a bunch of pics that show the upcoming new Motorola RAZR phone, the VE20. Through the blur you can see the phone is mirrored, features the classic laser-cut keypad and has a touch-sensitive pad on the outer shell like the V9m. The phone has a 2-megapixel cam, a QVGA main display which is "very crisp" and will apparently be the first phone to allow you listen to as well as watch NFL broadcasts through the NFL Mobile Live application. It's due to be a Sprint exclusive, out August 17th. [PhoneArena]

you'd have to be crazy to get this phone, unless they give this one out for free too! Look how small that screen is!

If it is like most RAZR phones, get TWO, so you always have a working one.

Really? Another RAZR? Does Motorola believe in market research? This model is the Ford Taurus of the car market.

After seeing photos of the Blackberry Bold and Apples iPhone, photos like this one is simply ridiculous.

Jeez, no wonder their shares are worth nothing. Looks like it was designed at the beginning of time! I will NEVER buy one of their phones!

Motorola is doomed if this is their answer to their continuing cell phone problems. It looks like nothing more than yet another rehash of the original RAZR, which is something like 5 years old now. In the high tech world 5 years is an eternity. I liked my RAZR when I got mine back when they were first available but quickly grew tired of the flat keyboard and other limitations. I've gone through two other phones since then and now have an iPhone and couldn't be happier. I'll never willingly go back to a RAZR-style phone.

This looks nothing like a Razr it looks more like a replacement for the v325 series of phones. Take a look at the v325xi.

I'd only have a RAZR if they gave it to me for free and I'd only keep it as a spare. My favorite Motorola that I ever owned was the MPX200

Ugh. Touch-sensitive keys?
I already had problems pairing my friends' headset to their LG Chocolate due to the keypad on it.
Why do they put these stupid things on phones?
And c'mon, Motorola, the RAZRs aren't cool anymore. They're overhyped and piles of sh*t.
*Dakota wishes he could go back to the time of the StarTAC*

Making it shiny does not change the fact that it is still a RAZR. Someone needs to send an open letter to Motorola explaining to them that the RAZR is dead.

Oh and the hits just keep coming from Motorola. Their design team is about as reliable as Oprah's scale.

Just wanted to comment on this phone. I have been using this phone for the past 4 months as a trial user. This phone is a much improved phone over the previous Moto razr variations. Mind you I went from a HTC mogul to this phone. Highlights, Best part - Speaker phone is the best I have heard on a cell phone this size. 1. Music over bluetooth is very good. Also music files export and import using USB/bluetooth is good. 2. phone is light and UI fairly simple and robust 3. Basic phone with quite a few functionality that you won't see on basic phones, like camera, video, spreaker. etc. Cons: 1. Need to use Motorola software to sync calendar. 2. it uses a mini usb Regards.. trialuser.

I know for an absolute, 100% fact that this phone is not a Sprint exclusive.
And no, it's not going to replace the w3xx phones. It's going to fall below the pricepoint of the RAZR2, but above the mid-range w3xx, YMMV.
