Asus F6 Comes With Webcam, 13-inch Screen, Eau de Asus

Looks like Asus is sniffing out the next big thing now that it's found heaps of success with its EeePC concept, and has decided that what the world really needs is a notebook that can function both as a mid-range computer and an Air Wick. The Asus F6 boasts a 13.3 inch screen, an integrated webcam, an Intel Core2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DRAM support, up to 320GB of HD space and comes in four scents - Floral Blossom, Musky Black, Morning Dew and Aqua Ocean. Asus doesn't say how long the fragrance is supposed to last, or whether you can reapply it. But for a couple of days at least, when the patrons of your local coffee shop wrinkle up their noses and ask "What's that smell?" you can proudly say "Me." [Asus via Far East Gizmos]

Meh, the sickly sweet smells I can take. It's the sharp nose-tingling ones - typically expensive, designer, or expensive designer - that really bother me. I dunno if it's just chemical sensitivity or if those are just bad odors, but I freaking hate perfumes and colognes.
I hope that either this concept doesn't take off or it doesn't reek of perfume if it does take off.

Just what I always wanted! When you're sitting in a badly vented room along with 3 guys and 2 girls, each of which is using a different cologne and/or perfume, I'll pack a laptop with another sickly sweet, retch-inducing scent that could equally well be described as gently rotting squirrel or slightly overdue Austrian desert dish.

You have to admit scented PCs are very original. Possibly there is a refill inside the mouse.

Come up with a range of sub-notebook laptops, and then fracture that into a million sub-models.

This idea is so dumb it gave me a good laugh this morning. Asus reminds me of shopping trips to Chinatown exploring silly cheap products. :-)

I'm going to laugh when this stuff ends up coating sensitive contacts insdide the laptop and rendering them unusable. Imagine, you're just typing away and suddenly some of the keys stop working. Take it into the shop, and they ask you if you spilled some sort of cheap perfume on the keyboard...

I wouldn't want a scented laptop. I was actually going to look this up on their site and see how much it was running for. But........................Why would i want to walk around smelling like Aqua Ocean???
Sure a nice smell but i'd stick the the regular smell of new laptop than one of these. Especially since its gonna be a family laptop. {-used when on trips that we all share-)

In the LAN parties I tend to go to, they don't actually wear cologne or perfume. I think this'd be an improvement over sweat and farts.
