Aexea KeyXpress Data Key Flashdrive Could Hide on Your Key Ring
Posted by Kit Eaton at 10:02 PM on August 25, 2008
Brando's Aexea KeyXpress flash drives are designed to really make key-ring data portability true: they're shaped like keys, and are about as thin as your average door or car key (about 3mm thin.) They're in three colours, have 4GB of flash storage aboard, come with a similarly tiny lanyard and that's about all you need to know. Oh: they cost US$27. [Brando]

I have a Supertalent "Pico-C Flash Memory USB Stick" with roughly the same size, 8gb of memory...and it costs 23€. But it comes without the nifty plastic key.

And they appear to be bright neon green. Not exactly stealth type data storage there, but functional I'm sure.

Great idea, now I can leave my keys behind whenever I forget to unplug!

wouldn't keeping the connector exposed like that all the time damage it?

Until your other keys scratch off the strips in your pocket, then you're screwed.

I'm going to be so confused when I come home wasted and this doesn't unlock my door.

@abstrakt, Hectorvex: Perhaps vinyl dye would work here?

i thought getting the sony mini usb 4gb flash drive that fits in my wallet 6 months ago was an awesome idea.
i haven't used it once, but it's in my wallet still i guess.

Seems like they should have -some- kind of cover to help protect it. I just have a regular flash drive on my keychain...not too worried about "hiding" it by sticking it to something that looks even dumber.
