roaming may be cheaper but will be slow gprs speed. As for NextG on 850Mhz, sounds good but NO phone Three currently has will work on it.

As for Telstra buying out 3, more likely the other way as Telstra is v. small fry on global scene where Hutchison is in top 5?

I wonder when Telstra will buy 3 outright as Optus did with Virgin so they can set up business with a Qantas/Jetstar type relationship.

So 3 are actually just building a few new sites and are switching to NextG for roaming instead of GSM. To me this is hardly expanding their network to 96%. If they actually included data usage on NextG roaming in their data plans, then this would be a good move. As it stands now, this is just pathetic.
