@EBone: Aye. You are correct, sir. Maybe it's meant to be more of a personal floatation (sp?) device, kinda like what you'd wear water skiing or tubing or whatever. Regardless, the advantages of foam-filled life vests is that if you tear the shell they still provide floatation. This thing would just pop. It's no more than a big clear pool floaty that you wear... but at leat you'll know it will always match your bikini top.

OMG, darpa succeeded in invisibility. Now, is there a way to only apply this tech to female soldiers? Lets face it, nude guy's would be mildly distracting, but nude women can breach enemy lines and do whatever while the enemy is in an induced state of; well you know. I have always and always will welcome our female overlords, and I suggest you do as well.

Uh, the reason the life vest is BRIGHT ORANGE is so rescuers can see you in the water and, you know, rescue you. I hate to bang on a cliche, but clear life vest = FAIL.
