I was a page on that show for over a year.

Woz's seats are special guests seats and they are not eligible to be called up. He would have been escorted in by a page about 5 minutes before warm ups.

They pick anywhere from 10-20 people during the pre-interviews that take place outside before you go in. Then they widdle that list down to 9 (I think that's the total) and those people get called down.

Being happy is and energetic is a part of it. It's mainly people who they think will play well on TV. They also want a cross section of america. Ages and colors.
