Win One Of Two Nokia N78 SmartPhones on Giz AU
But when Nokia do a high-end phone well, they do it really well. Like the N78, for example. This piece of black art doesn’t feature a whole heap of buttons, instead opting for a touch-sensitive surface with raised ridges to give you some feedback. And depending on which function you’re using, the keys will change, making it easy to take photos, listen to music and use the phone. At least in theory – we’ve got one sitting at our desk that we’re about to crack open to review.
At the same time that we’re excited by the potential of this phone, you should be excited by the potential of winning one. You see, the guys at Nokia have generously given us two of these gorgeous handsets to giveaway to Giz readers.
We’re going to give one away each week for the next two weeks. If you want one, you’ll need to tell us in 25 words or less: “Which feature of the new Nokia N78 do you think is the best and why?” Pop your entries in the comments section below.
If you need some guidance, check out this post for ideas. While you’re busy pondering the best use of 25 words to win (I’ll give you a hint – I like to be entertained), I’ll be playing around with an N78 here to give you a full review in the coming week or so.
So what are you waiting for?

with 3.2 mp cam, it can clearly show my friend’s tears, crying holding his iphone with 2mp. i’ll send it. promise.
the fact that you can use it to talk to other people…. efficiently
i belive the best feature would be the wifi so i can visit sites that my fionce would not like me to be looking at….. like ummm gizmodo….
It has to be the touch-sensitiveness, check out the marksmanship it’s so Finnish.
The N78 has great memory, Wi-FI, Geo tagging and a camera. The best feature is the four-way navigation key.
Symbian OS lets me install Freware version of Tetris! So handy when you’re suffering from constipation :)
N78, N SEVENTY EIGHT, EN SEVENTY ATE, ENSEVENTYATE, ENDSEVENTIACHE, ENDSTEVENTIACHE, ENDSTEVENSACHE, END STEVENS ACHE!
He NEEDS to retire his 6670 with 3G, WiFi, Symbian goodness!
It is great, because in Gizmodo I trust: “Nokia N78 candybar mobile comes absolutely loaded” – jesusdiaz
There are those that dream of owning an iPhone, and then there are the clever people who want the Nokia N78! Gizmodo on the run!
My wish, can’t find the remote, use the N78 remote control application, now all I need is a remote that I can make calls on.
The removal of buttons, as the only thing to fail on my N73 are the buttons. nokia make the best phones!
I like the power connector thingy.
The red exclamation mark button. Hang up on whiney friends and relatives with twice the gusto!
Geo-tagging means I will know where I was on Saturday night and therefore where I will hopefully again find the girl in my photos.
The 8gb memory is perfect for storing all my pornogra…. i mean my important work documents that can be viewed on the document viewer..
the gps.. after getting drunk, passing out somewhere random and not knowing where i am, i can still find home or another bar.
mmm… candybar *drools*
what question were we supposed to be answering again?
Nokia N78 – Remembers where you were when you took that photo of that really hot girl, even if you can’t.
My favorite feature would have to be wi-fi, it will allow me to access my emails at work or at home, it will also allow me to get my fix of Gizmodo.
Automatic Geotagging cause sometimes you just can’t remember [where you were]/[what you did] last night. 3.2MP camera for [Who you were] with that night.
The new interface means that the n78 is the most fun you can have touching without ending up with a restraining order.
I would have to say Assisted GPS, how could I not fall in love with a phone that can tell me how to get to the shops & buy more shoes.
Coming soon (hopefully) to 88.3FM is AJFM. For now… its just static.
“The geotagging feature is great for when you get too pissed in the city and lose your way. Ill just take a photo of that giant coke sign…”
Call me a luddite, but I like the FM radio.
Now I can listen to that, when drunk mates call to say they love me!
