Toshiba Launches Small, Cheap HD Palmcorder: Camileo H10

Toshiba's budget HD camcorder, the Camileo H10, actually doesn't skimp on features, it seems. The SD-based device records in 720p to its internal 64MB memory, or SDHC cards (up to 8GB, around 4 hours of footage) and has a 10 megapixel CCD. It squeezes in a 5x optical zoom, video stabilisation, motion-detection shooting, night mode, HDMI output and a 2.7-inch display. Not bad for US$350, and available from the end of July. [Pocket Lint]

They need to come up with a new identifier. Instead of just saying "made in China" or "made in USA of Imported materials," they now need to have "Cloned in China" for example... and maybe expand upon that to include "badly cloned in China" up to "Cloned but improved upon in China"

just buy a 16 gb sd card...I have one for my DSLR...NEVER have to think about it...obviously for video it would different but you just transfer the sexy 720p footage off of it and away you go!

64mb internal? do they just expect you to take a 1 minute vid and picture or two out fo the box? that seems a little rediculous to me it should at least be 256mb internal. anyway you can get the 4gig sdhc card from the woot post below I think it was only like $3 for a 4gig card

So what would be the primary purpose of the motion detection? "Accidentally" leaving it on the bathroom counter?
