Sidekick 2008 Images Appear, Bigger And Clearer

Some more images have popped up at Hiptop3 of the forthcoming Sidekick Gekko aka 2008 from T-Mobile, and they're the best we've seen to date. This is a slender looking hiptop which will launch with a multitude of skins, making it the most customisable Sidekick to date. And really, with a feature like that, you'd think the code name would be "chameleon", but what do we know? [Hiptop3]

no they wont be slides! look on youtube and it has unboxing videos , they are definately swivels!

I am really concerned if the cool new 2008 Sidekick is coming to Australia! i sooo hope it does! - by the way, it is most definetely a swivel.......plz help me!!!

ugh, i am so over sidekicks. i'm on my third sidekick3 (no fault of my own, i might add) in a little over a year. iphone for meeeeeee.

Looks pretty nice, just need to know how to hack google android on it. Google Android running on that would be pretty sweet.

I used sidekicks since 2002. I just could no longer wait for the tech to catch up. 3g, wifi, UMA, GPS.. the platform had a lot of potential until they stopped innovating the os.

I personally thought the SideKick ID and this looks like ass.
The LX has probably was the sleekest in design, followed by the SK2.
And the Slide was just the black sheep - it didn't even have the signature kickflip screen the Sidekick is synonymous for,
My order of which SK looks the best:
1. SK LX
2. SK 2
3. SK 3
4. SK Slide (still looks better than the iD and 2008)
5. SK 2008
6. SK iD (too fat)
The SK may have started the "on AIM" all the time trend, but its fast becoming childish, with Blackberry's and iPhones hogging the show off limelight.

I feel so sorry for the Sidekicks. They had the potential to be a great geek phone. The OS is really well put together, multi-tasking works beautifully and the keyboard is the best I've ever used. But Danger decided to develop it for teenie boppers rather than the tech crowd so now it's evolved into this. It really is too bad.
All they had to do was keep doing the teenie bopper ones but also offer a high end geeky model and the Sidekick could have been an amazing phone.

oh and to that person who said it was just for gays...dude this phone is customizable so don't think thats just the only covers you will be able to get. oh check HIPTOP3 and some guy got a MANUAL meant for the sellspeople at t-mobile on how to sell the SIDEKICK (2008)

I'm partially interested in Sidekick because of the plans. As much as I'd like an Xperia, poor college kid can't afford $90/month for smartphone + texting. $30/month for texting/messaging/email/psuedo-internet however, I can swing.
