Red and Green Limited Edition Xbox 360 Controllers Coming in September

Microsoft is rolling out limited edition green and red Xbox 360 controllers at the end of September for US$64 each. The red one which we see here has black accents plus comes with a bundled Play & Charge with red battery pack. The green one isn't listed on xbox.com yet, but Kotaku has a picture of it here. If you really want red and green controllers NOW, you can always go Colorware. [Xbox.com]

its just sad and how these controllers perform even for fighting games. the d pad is terrible. And they think its such a good product line to keep make all these pads. Honestly buy a madcatz instead!

I thought I saw Dude Huge holding a red controller. Thought it was some custom GOW piece. Guess not! I like the red.

looks alright, but i don't really see the reason to release a limited edition controller in a basic color.

The red one looks gross. Its not the cool red-black mix that so many anime fans love. Its just a really bad red, that doesn't quite mix with the black.
The green one however is very nice. And quite abundant in the Xboxiness.

Black accents? In-fucking-credible.
I hate the stupid looking grey accent and how it ruins the look of both the standard and black controllers.

well its a controller so that is nice. to be honest I do have the blue one but I am not sure if I want to pay 64$ for limey green one, seems a bit much.
why is it limited? just in case nobody wants one?

Perhaps the $64 is an homage to the Nintendo 64, which first featured multi-colored controller goodness.

Honestly, if the green one had the black accents I think it would be worthwhile. Seeing as how its neon lime green and a nasty grey, without a neon lime green 360, it just seems out of place.

@lol123: I agree, doesn't make sense. The Halo 3 one made sense, and a Gears of War one would make total sense, but a red or green colored basic controller won't have my money.

will the controllers work on xbox's tablet laptop console with a wireless modem that's built into the tablet (lcd touchscreen like a tough book but with a larger hard drive i.e 200 gb or more) laptop computer/ gaming console?
