I just upgraded my ps3 to ver 2.42, b/c system prompted me and now i cant play any blu ray discs!!. Powered off and on 3x and still nothing, i can get to main screen but system doesnt "see" my Blu Ray disc at all! arghhhhh

Ideas anyone??

I’ve got to say that Sony is one hypocritical company of I’ve ever seen one. They blasted off at MS for pushing updates to the 360 before the PS3 launched. Now, they’ve put out at least twice as many updates as there have been for the 360. They talked trash about the Xbox being a big black box when the PS2 was a sleek machine. Now the PS3 looks like a George Foreman grill on steroids! The list goes on….

Anyway… I think it’s great that they’ve staying up with changes that need to be made and not waiting to push a quarterly update like MS. If only they would have someone like Major Nelson that we could ask questions (like what is this update doing) that would be cool.

I installed Sony's latest update-> 2.42

... and I have yet to get back online!!!!

mine works great no worries ofcourse most people didnt have a problem with 2.4 eaither.
