Wow, what's with the dire hatred of TiVo? The Australian people who buy TiVos have probably never seen that iPod ad before in their life. I never had, before now, and I'm on the Apple/tech scene.

We get it, you don't like TiVos because you're a techo. But there's a whole 'nother group of people out their who'd suit one just fine.

For years it has been rumored that Apple is interested in buying TiVo or at least striking a major deal to improve the marketability of their AppleTV by adding TiVo. Why would TiVo deliberately upset one their potential buyout suitors? Maybe Apple is ok with it… after all the TiVo HD in Australia will be able to download videos from your TiVo to your iPod… I can’t wait to see that commercial!
