JATY DR7200 GPS With Digital TV, MP3 Player, Phone Charger, eBook Reader and a Breathalyzer
Posted by Sean Fallon at 9:40 AM on July 16, 2008
The JATY DR7200 could be the most absurdly feature-packed GPS device ever thanks to a whole slew of options that have no business being there. An eBook reader? Seriously. But that is not all--the device also features a SiRFStar III GPS chipset, a 533MHZ CPU, mountain, car and golf GPS navigation, video playback, a photo viewer, etc...etc...etc. So, basically it offers a ton of distractions that can result in your untimely death on the highway, and one option designed to prevent it. This Korean-only gadget retails for around US$300. [Aving via TRFJ]

Can somebody explain to me what "mountain-, car-, and golf- GPS" is?
The common GPS systems are for use in the car...but what is added by "mountain GPS" -- something to guarantee better connection to the satellites in mountainous terrain?
And what is golf-GPS? For on the golf course? ???

I understand why a car needs a GPS, but how does a mountain benefit from a GPS?

Just what we need, a GPS that tracks our progressive alcoholic tendencies.

@EQC: i don't know about mountain gps, but golf GPS is for the golf course. Higher end clubs and courses sometimes have them integrated into their golf carts. They give readouts of how much yardage is left to the hole and the hole position on the green for the day. It's quite convenient, but the courses I can afford usually don't have GPS systems, so this would be cool.

as a cop, the more 'gadgets' to get drunk people to realize they shouldn't drive the better. it wont stop the repeat offenders... since many don't seem to care regardless of how drunk they are, but the first timers might make a better choice.

Mountain gps is for those people that actually go off into the wilderness hiking. As in, not on a road in a car. Golf GPS was explained above, you use it on a golf course to get a better reading of distance to the hole.
Very fancy, and for a decent price! I'd like to see this reviewed more in-depth if they could release it in the US.
