iPhone Apps We Like: Mocha VNC Lite

9:43AM July 17, 2008 | Brian Lam

Mocha is a VNC client that supports full QWERTY and safari-like zooming as well as landscape mode. Double click works, but right click doesn’t, but there is no official App store equivalent so this is your desktop remote client of choice. [iPhone App Marathon via LH]

Enisity, I had the same ‘VNC Negotiation’ problem, even after setting Encryption to ‘Prefer off’ on the server.

I got it working by make sure I also set Authentication to ‘VNC password’ as opposed to the default which was ‘Windows password’.
Works like a charm. Didn’t need to fiddle with any firewall ports seeing as this is just the same internal network I’m connecting to.

im aware that it doesn’t support dual/multi display, but has anyone figured out how to control it so that it will at least access the main display (and not default to the secondary one)?
