G-Men Finally Clear Out of 1 Infinite Loop For Good
Posted by John Mahoney at 12:03 AM on July 11, 2008
The Wall Street Journal today is reporting that the Justice Department has concluded its criminal investigation into Apple's stock backdating shenanigans once and for all. Everything's coming up Jobs!
Even though Steve was pretty much off the hook as of November of last year, the Feds kept the case under official criminal investigation until now. Several civil suits are still pending, however, but as far as the Justice Department is concerned, there's no dirt. [WSJ (subscription)]

This could all be avoided if he awards everyone whose ass he needs to kiss in the FBI a free 3G iphone with 1 month of service.
How could apple be dirty???

Don't know what I am going to do with this "We Love You Steve Jobs!" cake that has the file inside. Maybe I should send it to him anyway, and he can use it to break out of his reality distortion field. Might take more than a file, though.

Dammit... I read the headline of this article and thought maybe it meant Giz was done posting iPhone articles.

@girraffesack: Rich people are good at making people lose things/hide them and never be able to find them. More power to him if he can get away with all of it - at least we'll live to see a few more generations of apple products

@Rabid Penguin: That would be the second sign of the Apocalypse. The first sign having already happened a couple weeks ago when all of my socks made it through a wash cycle without disappearing.

I'm sure he shat out iphones for all and made the issue go away.
Amazing though.. people do this crap in a financially sound company, and it's always okay. People do it in a not so sound company, and they tend to get busted on it.
@Rabid Penguin: don't we wish..
