As a student I think an academic planner would be a fabulous application. Where you can add assignments for separate classes. Input grades on past assignments. Input syllabi into the iphone as well as intructor contact info and classmate contact info for each class. This way a student would be easily able to see their progress in each class they are taking immediately. A sync availablity would be a plus!

@Mike918: Hehe. I wish I could. It's the only programming language I know at the moment. Stupid public school programming classes.

@Minotaar:
The $99 fee is only for testing on an actual iPhone. You only need to sign up for the free ADC Online Membership in order to download the iPhone SDK.

Is it possible to get the SDK without shelling out the 99 dollars? I want to get the SDK to play with it, but I dont intend to make anything I plan to sell

Man, I rushed to get my submission done by the first weekend after the contest was posted (June 22nd) and it's still going. There must be a lot of hotness in the pot by now.

Is there a place where non-coders like me can submit ideas?
Take one for free.
How bout having bluetooth service start up when needed (on detecting a call), then wake up the bluetooth headset, and start using that?
The benefit is that if I have my bluetooth headset on, I dont have to worry about battery life being drained :D

Damn... I kind of missed the boat on this one. When does the contest officially end?

I have a pretty good concept but it's really not an application on it's own (just a cool use of multi-touch) and I'm also really not a programmer.
