Sex Robots Are Less Sexy Than You'd Think

What will it look like when two mechanical lifeforms embrace in love? Now that I've seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, but robots sure have a long way to go before they're accepted into the animal kingdom for their procreational merits. Still, these two robots use singing, laser-based "heat" signals and, of course, good old fashioned penetration to make some whoopie. Here's the full SFW clip (well, unless you work at a robot day care centre or something):

I love how sleep state is right after heat state. So true to life. But I must ask, do we really need another "being" on earth whos only fucntion is to try and get some? Dont we have enough desperately undersexed beings here as it is?

Would have been funnier if the female one acted like it had a headache pretended to be sick or something and kept shooing the male one away. Then the male would wait for the female to go into sleep mode and try his luck again except then she'd wake up, leds flashing and sirens going off.

Hmmm, even robots with laser guidance systems can't find the hole so easily [2:31], then again, it seems to be his first time since the act was over after a couple of "pumps"?

@Curves: Actually, every beings highest function is to 'get some'. Perpetuation of species and whatnot. If there were ever any species that didn't care about sex, they're long gone.
These guys on the other hand have the lofty purpose of mimicking the way in which our species gets some. It's a rather shallow and pedantic view of sex, which I would say is closer to simulated pornography than simulated sex.
