A three employee told me yesterday that Three is currently in negotiations with apple and a release is imminent but not date had been settled on or confirmed. So I guess might be a few more weeks or so.

I rang up last night and they said to me that they will be launching it at the same time as every other carrier will be.

They also mentioned to me to keep a close eye on their website over the coming week or so for more information.

ok i know, i look like a psycho but just to make sure i just rang 131683 the sales number for 3, and asked again, about the iphone:

ME: i want to know if you are going to be selling the iphone.

3: Yes we will, but i don't have a release date for you, but a press release will be coming out in a couple of weeks with more information about it.

ME: ok good so you definitely will be selling it?

3: Yes, but i don't have any more information to give you, i'm sorry, but you will have to wait a couple of more weeks to see the press release.

Me: ok thank you...

NOTE: this is the 3th time i rang and spoke to different people on different departments and they all said something similar, this last one actually told me about the press release.

This is good news for me, as I was just planning on buying one outright and putting it on 3 anyway (mainly going with 3 over Vodafone due to coverage). So now if they’re releasing it officially it means I won’t be giving anything up (such as the visual voicemail I guess).
