Just a reminder that we’re down at the Sydney Apple Store this morning for the media preview of the Australian store. We’ll be posting updates as frequenty as we can, although we have discovered our first real frustration at the MacBook Air’s single USB port – it’s impossible to plug in my wireless internet card and my camera at the same time.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 9:12 AMAny photos yet? I’m particular keen for anything on level 3, private offices, or even the parts of level 2 that were obstructed by the sheer height of the building meaning we didn’t get a good look.
Is there an iPhone stand yet?
Also, there should be ubiquitous WiFi in the shop. Perhaps you could enquire why you couldn’t just use that.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 9:52 AMMacBlogz wishes we could be there. In the meantime, take a cab to the nearest “open” tech store and grab a USB dongle.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 10:16 AMthat is horrid. the could have atleast blackened the building’s support colums.. to make the white apple logo stand out more, and the enhance the look of the glass. It looks like a glorified marquee set up for an outdoor footy breakup.. with an apple orb hovering above.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:27 AMHey Giz, Apple always offer free wireless internet, therefore no need for your wireless card = no problem.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 3:21 PM@Aviv & Matt: I did have a Belkin dongle, but sadly it snapped as soon as I tried to plug both devices into it. Then I realised that the Apple Store’s wi-fi was available from where I was on the other side of the street and all was good :)
I am however, now in the market for a (more sturdy) USB dongle. Anybody have any suggestions?

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 3:23 PMNo iPhones yet, but (if I were a betting man) I’d bet my left nut that they’ll be there on July 11, along with a massive launch of some kind…
