This is the best Developer platform of the decade. The device, the tools, the software and the distribution channel. Apple is smart because innovation will come from independent developers. No sandbox. A real Objective-C, late-binding based environment with super graphics, sound, *MOTION*, *GPS* and more. Go 2.0/3G

Wow the games they showed were just amazing. The developers themselves were complimenting on how powerful the iPhone is and allows it to play these games with nearly no compromise.

this is the first key-note i've ever seen and i'm in awe. the only thing that i would suggest to his royal eminence steve jobs is that they add more women to the speaker list. there was no estrogen on that stage. think about it, if you were a (hetero) dude in the audience, what would be better than seeing this speech than seeing it come from a good looking chick? (note: non-hetero dudes currently have the edge!)

@nXt: I wish they did.
Where's the iTunes download? I don't like the low resolution I'm getting and what it on my AppleTV and I'm not paying for Quicktime to save!

The iTunes download should show up shortly. I've seen them load it later with a higher resolution.

Does anyone know if Steve Jobs OK? He's lost a LOT of weight recently, which could be good or worrisome.

@OMG! Ponies!: I don't think there's such thing as being cooler than Larry David, but I see the resemblance.

Apple gives the iPhone HSPA to bring it up to the latest technology but then opts to leave out a video calling front-end camera. Then they compare it's browsing and email speeds to that of the Nokia N95 which is a device that does have video calling, not to mention a higher-end camera. HSPA is not just for the speed of data transmission but also the ability to stream voice and data at the same time. Everything else about the device I think is great but the lack of video calling makes me wonder if Apple really sees what the future of mobile computing and telecommunications industry is and what it can offer consumers. Rogers here in Canada has over 60% of the country coast to coast with HSPA coverage (over 25 cities and towns) and is expanding this to cover the rest of the country by the end of the year. In the UK and Asia HSPA is more used and the amount of video calling cellphones is more known. It's to bad Apple couldn't see this opportunity to compete on a level playing field by offering the iPhone version 2 with video calling.
