Dell Dock Puts a Little Mac OSX Into Vista Studio Laptops
Dell’s Studio Laptops will be getting a little touch of the Mac OS when they ship, thanks to the Dell Dock, a launcher that cleans up the Vista desktop in the most charming, albeit derivative, way. Below you can see “Before” and “After” images of the cleanup:
Here’s the standard Vista desktop:
And here it is when it’s been all Dockified:
Dell talks about customising it in various ways by adding and deleting icons, changing colours and adding text:
There’s no mention of whether you can move it to the bottom or sides, though. Wouldn’t that be, uh, Mac friendly? All joking aside, I would like to say kudos to Dell for the cool execution. I, for one, can’t wait to test it out.

I have just got a dell studio with the Dell Dock and some how got rid of it and now have all the icons on my desktop and can’t get it back. Please Help. How do I get the Dell Dock back??????
if you uninstalled it, there should be a cd that came with the computer that has all the software on it
if you did not uninstall it then it should be runable from the start menu
Is it possible:
-To make open applications appear on the dock?
-To make the dock and its icons smaller so that it doesn’t waste too much screen space?
-To put a folder in the dock the when clicked upon, it shows its contents in the form of a menu (ala Windows’ toolbars that can be placed on the taskbar)?
If you can’t do those things, then the dock is pure garbage that exists merely for eye-candy.
How do i download this dock. I had it before then my computer had to get fixed and when i got it back this dell dock was gone. I’m helpless without it!!! boo hoo
