If I need to spend a hundred words explaining to you just why the US$18 Channel Changer Ray Gun is worth your time, then you really shouldn't be reading Gizmodo at all. Seriously, do yourself a favour. Unplug your computer and—very carefully—carry it to the trash can and—gently—drop it in. And when you're finished doing that, toss in any aspirations you had for this life, too. Because you are obviously a worthless human being. Too bad it looks so doooshey, for a ray - gun. I prefer my Zap-Pistol to be a bit more menacing in appearance. Especially when I shout "DON"T TOUCH THAT YOU FOOL-IT'S SET ON "KILL"!!!!!"

Anybody who buys this is not a true geek.* Because changing the channel is only applicable to people who are realtiming it, and all true geeks have DVR's (or torrents). Not to mention that a true geek would look at the price/function ratio and laugh.
*An exception is for the people who will buy this and mod it to perform several other functions.
