AT&T BlackBerry Bold Delayed Until Mid-August

Okay, so the BlackBerry Bold doesn't even have an official release date yet, but Boy Genius's RIM spies (who have a solid track record) say that it's been pushed back into August, courtesy of "software issues with battery life and overheating," so AT&T hasn't certified it yet. But apparently it's just fine for Canadians. Colour us red-blooded Americans blue. [BGR]

Wow, not sure how much business there will be left for RIM's Bold when they release it two months after Apple's new IPhone.

Sounds like corporate excuses which translate into AT&T trying to avoid the Bold and iPhone clashing directly with launches weeks apart by pushing the bold away from the iPhone by over a month. It could also have something to do with the agreement with Apple.

Battery life and overheating? I smell BS.
If this thing is supposed to release this week in Canada, that means it's probably already been produced, shipped, and are sitting in back rooms somewhere.
Not buying it.

@mr_schticker: you may want to look at the Thunder then, it's minus the querty but is the first touch screen BB. should hit on verizon around september if the rumors are true

iphone and BB devices are a different market IMHO. One is a business device. The other just shows how big a douche you are.
