A Quick Glimpse of Tokyo Toy Show 2008
Posted by Mark Wilson at 11:45 PM on June 20, 2008
For those of us not lucky enough to be at this year's Tokyo Game Show, here's a quick highlight video running through some of the more interesting products. Our favourite has to be the AeroSpider by Takara Tomy. It's an R/C car that can burn donuts on 90-degree surfaces (like walls) and then top off the act by driving completely inverted on the ceiling. We're sure that parents will just love it. [CScoutJapan via bbGadgets]

woah, some of those things are pretty impressive. My fav is definetly the tiny fully working jukebox.

I find the wall car funny since Cargenie Melon made such a huge deal out of making a robot that walks on walls last week and this week Japan has a car that outshines what they did 100x fold.

Ughh...I was going to go tomorrow morning, oh crap it's 1:15AM here. Drinking in Roppongi has caught up to me. Anyways looks like fun. If I don't make it, I'll watch the entire video and pretend I did.

I like the Aerospider, and the clever spinning action, but it can go from horizontal to vertical, right? Of course traversing a bunch of corners is a lot harder, but by the looks of this tech, I wouldn't be surprised!
