WWDC Keynote In 60 Seconds
Posted by Mark Wilson at 12:20 AM on June 12, 2008
While I'm, of course, a little partial to my own recent Apple keynote mash-up, this clip is an excellent summary of WWDC 2008 in 60 seconds (or just enough time to turn up those speakers while the boss is in the bathroom). I was there and actually remembered some moments I'd forgotten, so it's probably worth a fanboy perusal. [via CrunchGear]

Nice job... about all the time I need to see what Apple's up too.

Sure, it might sum it up, but it has none of the pizazz, the finesse, the booms. Cellophane without the stick, limburger without the stank, toilets without the flush sound. It just isn't the same.
I'm sorry, Steve, that they did this to you. You deserve so much better than one minute of our love, even if I have rarely given more.

Hey that video was pretty cool. Do they have one of World War II summed up in 15 seconds?

You want to capture the elements of this.

Thanks, I was almost mildly interested in the 'New iPhone' but did not feel like listening to the giant smugfest that is Jobs' Keynote.

Worst.keynote.ever... no new computers (or specs), no fancy new OS (though stability improvments are always nice), iPhone iPhone iPhone! :-(

Hey that was actually quite useful. Thanks to whoever made it. Now if anyone asks me what happened there I can just direct them to this video.
Oh, and there was a "boom"...just not a spoken "boom". (check out 1:04)

Go Mahalo! More 60 sec updates please. Could you get one of Bush's administration? How about the democratic candidate race?
Oh wait this is Giz...Um could one of you dudes call up Jason... er twitter him and suggest this, he won't answer my texts. @halfshafter: Seconded.

This was brilliant, till I realized it came from Mahalo.
Come on Jason, if you were half the shit you thought you were, this would have been out within 24 hours, when it was still relevant. The last 50 people wondering about the Keynote aren't going to know Mahalo beyond the greeting.
Calacanis - Fail. Although nice job on providing craft services for your team, that's on par with your abilities.

I actually watched the WHOLE thing last night. It was amazing. But the sum it up minute is pretty cool. Took just about everything in there.

That was kind of like watching it on Tivo.
Fast forward through the boring parts.
What a boring keynote, even for WWDC. I suppose since the 3G iPhone was basically predicted and leaked so bad that if Apple didn't announce it it would have been a surprise.
Apple gets so much free advertising it really is ridiculous.
Sorry, I just don't share the enthusiasm over a phone. Phones are for ordering pizza, otherwise they should be put away. Very rude devices. They don't say excuse me when interrupting a conversation, dinner or show. People think they _HAVE_ to answer them each and every time. Come on, if the person that was calling came up to you instead, they'd wait for the correct opportunity to start their conversation.

Brilliant.
I watched through the whole keynote yawning a few times. Just like...a while ago...
