The Petrol-Powered Blender with Handlebars, For Guys Totally Secure in Their Masculinity
Posted by Adam Frucci at 6:30 AM on June 12, 2008
You're a big man, and you're so secure in your manhood that you're not afraid to proclaim your manliness in everything that you do just so everyone knows that you're a man. That's why you'll only make frozen mixed drinks with a blender powered by a 43cc 2-stroke engine that has handlebars for controls. That way, no one will think you're some sort of sissy for drinking a pomegranate margarita. Because even the most manly of men enjoy a fruity frozen beverage with the boys on a hot summer's day. It's exactly the kind of thing you need to get some energy before going out in a roving pack and beating up people who are different from you. I'm a man! [Product Page via GearCrave]

For what it's worth, I've always been pissed off when blender blades get caught on ice cubes or frozen fruit and won't start. Almost as annoying is when the blender mashes up only the bottom inch or two of its contents, leaving the top to float, smirking and unblended, just out of range of the blades. I can totally see the attraction of an awesome, high-powered blender that blends whatever you put into it, right away, with no doubt, no cajoling, and no hesitation -- in short, a blender that does not fuck around.

Visually this doesn't live up to it's potential.
To do that I have two words:
"flames"
"skulls"

I got mine a few years ago for the yearly Buffett-Fests!
After the money you drop for it, it would be a shame to 'blend' it. But as for it's blending power, I have not seen it get jammed on anything... ever.
But it is fun to spark it up, as everyone knows what you are doing. And on a hot day, you feel like a god pouring decadent frothy goodness to all the little girls in bikini's
Ah, paradise...

@fsusmithc2: He did something similar to a dish washer. It blew the dishes right out of the back.

It's gotta be an art-piece. I simply cannot imagine the fumes, and the smell of gasoline and oil, doing much to complement -=anything=- one might want to blend in it.

seeing as how i can ride a bike with no handle bars (/flobots)i'm pretty sure i can handle going without having handle bars on my blender.
still though...its a completely insane concept that just might be crazy enough to work.
oh btw, i want the guy who does the "will it blend" videos to use one of these from now on. if he refuses to purchase one then we must rally together to buy him one, and then force him at gun point to use it.

This seems like something Tim Allen would have designed. Actually, this doesn't seem like the first time I've seen this either. In any case, if you have any burning "will it blend" questions, I'm sure this thing can answer them.

Deep in the diamond patterned, superfluous rivet-encrusted kitchen of Jesse James, an empty spot asks for a blender.

A guy had this exact same one at the Jimmy Buffett show last night in Detroit.
He said he bought it awhile ago at Sam's Club.
Not as cool as the Daquari Whacker, though.

205, lads, I saw and played with one last year. Makes great margaritas, even tough margaritas are so, well you know, girly.
Why don't you tell us about that nifty Razr from Motorola? I hear all the kewl kids want one.
Snark.

When I read gas powered and handlebars, I naturally assume this sucker is powered by methane. Apparently I guessed incorrectly, as I do not see a seat.

@jrghoull: You do know the will it blend guy actually works for a company called blendtec right?
@NatefromOgden: Wow, talk about excessive. I bet he regrets that after the new gas prices.

I will only use a device like this to make a Mohito. Even though gayness has a genetic marker in the brain, which is determined at birth and can't be changed. I will still only mix a drink with a gas engine with much more power than is actually needed. I will also only drive a vehicle with more power than needed, and more towing capacity than I would likely ever need. So stuff it fruit cups, that's just the way I do things...

I've been seeing homebrew versions of these at motorcycle rallies since the mid-'90s, and I'm sure they were around before that (as I wasn't attending motorcycle rallies before the mid-'90s).
That's about the only environment I could see them being plausibly used at, as well.
Unfortunately, since it's 2-stroke it will sound less Harley and more Leafblower...
