New Sony Ericsson Walkman Phone Coming Soon?
Posted by Adrian Covert at 3:40 AM on June 12, 2008
I can't quite put my finger on it, but this leaked spyshot of the Sony Ericsson "Alicia" Walkman phone seems awfully familiar. Especially with the all black front and that little circle inside of the big circle — where have I seen this before? In any case, The Unofficial Sony E Blog mentions it will likely be the follow up to the W980i, and SlashPhones thinks it will be announced with the C905 Shiho next week. [Se-nse via SlashPhones]

@shamoononon has a hebetudinous dog: wow thats the dullest story put to page today.
I had older version of the Iphone, then I got something else. It was okay.
I had older version of this page, it was without your post, then I looked at something else. It was okay

That would be sick if you had to dial Rotary style...I'd be like, "Check me out money!? I'm Old School!"

Yeah - where would they get the idea of a portable music device with a round dial in the middle??

It's supposed to have some fancy walkman "everchanging" animations on the front OLED screen. That's right, there's a screen there.

@NightBlade: Wait, I'm sorry, what is this about a phone?
"Sorry, but he really touché'd you." -- I don't really care.

*sigh*
Somebody is bound to be a tasteless ass and ruin the joke. I might as well save you all the trouble of seeing it repeated 50 times later by getting it out of the way now.
It looks like an iPod! Damn theiving bastards at Sony can't put out any good product without ripping off Apple, and even that's only when your definition of "good" is relativistic.
Alrighty. I did the deed. The joke can be pronounce dead now. Sorry. I had to put it down to end its suffering. Its eyes spoke of thousands of years of agony distilled into each second of its unravelling life.

This is clearly a ripoff of the first Zenith cordless TV remote. You know... the kind that worked on sound and if you spun that plastic tube around in your living room, like all the good children of the world do, it would make that whirring sound and the TV would start switching channels.
Clearly. I can't believe any of you don't see that.

"Yeah - where would they get the idea of a portable music device with a round dial in the middle??" And the great thing about that link is that there's a SONY device displayed, obviously from, what, the 70s, with a nice, big round speaker thingy on the front.
Funnily, the first thing the phone reminded me of was a Zune. Or that Samsung musicphone with the ugly green speaker on front.
