Dan Lyons (Fake Steve Jobs) Moving to Newsweek
Dan Lyons, aka Fake Steve Jobs, is leaving Forbes after 10 years to fill the vacancy left by Steve Levy, who is going to Wired. Now there are five horsemen of the apocalypse.
When Levy went to Newsweek, I wondered if his famed Apple access would follow him. With Fake Steve, reading columns like this, it's a safe guess he may not want any additional access that may come with the weight of Newsweek. He's a horseman, but I hope he keeps that outside, mainstream perspective that our whole little world of gadget review is a ridiculous one. [Peter Kafka's Brain]

Ah Fake Steve. Where do I being? How many times I've laughed at what he has written. How he loves Giz too.
But this is much to much to type. Anyhoo I think he had a deal with Forbes to keep up the FSJ thing, I wonder what is going to happen now?
Please Dan, keep up the FSJ thing!

"Incontinentia" Lyons as we used to call him doesn't see eye-to-eye with the whole open-source thang and thinks Stallman is the antichrist. He's a businessman's writer.
Fake Steve Jobs is funny, though!

Mr. Lyons' coverage for Forbes of the SCO Group vs. Linux fiasco was sorely lacking in factual detail and objective reporting. Let us hope he has learned from the experience.

Haha....I saw before when he posted, I'm quite a fan. Fact is he needs more material, and maybe FSJ is "going on vacation" but Dan Lyons isn't. I can't wait until he writes as Mossberg.......

I can't stand this guy. He has always struck me as one of the most pre-biased writers in the tech world. He sets out to write hack pieces and doesn't let things like facts get in the way.
The "Fake Steve Jobs" thing was a good gimmick for him. He got to spout off without even pretending to have any basis for what he said.
I'll never buy Newsweek again. I didn't buy it before, but now I sure wont ever. I may not even sit near an old one in the Dr's office.

@ab12:
Good lord, he had a typo, how bout you make a comment about how invalid his comment was or RTFA then get all typo-snobby.
Like say, he is not just FSJ, he is--no was senior editor at Forbes magazine, covering enterprise computing and consumer electronics and wrote noted articles such as "Attack of the Blogs". Then people might have a hair of respect for you as a commenter.
