There is a law prohibiting phone being locked so if you got your iPhone and went up to a Optus Shop and said "Unlock this please," they would have no choice but to say "Fine," and unlock the phone for you. Will it be locked? (Yes if it is subsidised i suspect).
Are they still allow to lock people into 1 carrier in Australia? I thought we had some laws in place to stop things like that.
What data plans will come along with the iPhone? It’s a pretty big device to be using just as a phone, i would hope we get some nice data plans with it (nothing will be as good as they get in the U.S. but hopefully the mainstream media cries foul over this).
What are the options to buy outright without having a bloodsucking 6 millenia contract to stick to?

I doubt i’ll see some favourable answers to my questions. So i’ll probably skip the initial launch here in AUS. Unless they get MMS working.
