TurboGrafx-16 is Now on the iPhone, Radical Dude!
Posted by Mark Wilson at 8:20 AM on May 30, 2008
Our friends over the pond know it as the PC Engine. Most Americans know it as that console that played Bonk. Now it's on the iPhone through emulator support. An iPhone version of the classic emulator Temper, temper4iphone looks like it's running pretty smoothly on Apple's mobile in this video. But you know the drill; jailbreak the iPhone before partaking. Too bad we'll probably never see this stuff in a formal SDK... [ZodTTD via BBgadgets]

I get all my ROMs from here.

Try to give the guy some dough, has an awesome selection, and if you pay, you get access to allot of CD based stuff like Jaguar, PS1, Dreamcast (believe it or not), and TONS more. Plenty of TurboGrafx stuff, probably all of it.
You guys have another site maybe?

TG 16 was awesome. Being able to play a game on the console, then slap it in the hand held and play it there...

Man, I loved Bonk. I remember one time trading a guy down the street his Sega Genesis for my TurboGrafix 16 for a week just to see the other systems.

15,000 ROMs, huh? Aside from home-brew freebies, I wonder if he owns legal originals of any of them.

@MagnoliaBoy: I was looking for a legal something, and you may be right, but this testimonial says it all.
"It is takioka that came from Japan. It is easy to be steady of ..manager.. ..connection.. user, and to use here very much unlike other sites. It is in it ..rom with the premiere easily.., and survives very much. It assists. P.S I am sorry that I can\'t write English well."
So obviously this site is at least awesome.

@duckylam: There are worse things than cutting class and sunbathing on a railroad track, but that doesn't mean you should cut class and sunbathe on a railroad track.

I bought a TurboGrafx-16 back in 1990...only one game really stood out for me: Military Madness, otherwise known as Nectaris in Japan. That game was seriously addictive. I play the PS1 version on my PS3.
Of course, it's not as fun now...about as fun as playing the original Sid Meier's Civilization nowadays.
