gotta love working in a retail store, got the Series 6 lcd 40″ for $1748 (cost price+10%tax) the thing iv noticed from series 6 compared to 7 and 8 is 6 has the improved visuals when watching blueray movies like ice age, when watching it it feels as if the frames are rendered real time (as they actually are using the samsungs motion plus) XD i love this lcd tv, it compares to everything else and wins XD

Yeah I bought a series 6 46″ with a rogers sb 12-m sub and surround package $3000. Only had a ditsy 7.1 orchestra amp but pay peanuts expect monkeys i guess

I just picked up the 40 inch for $2099 from a retail shop and i’m totally happy with the TV and the price. The Samsung RRP’s are over inflated, but thats par for course for electrical manufacturers.

Beware of these television sales that include such things as ‘BLUE RAY” players as a freebie then find it impossible to log onto the site to organise payment to receive such freebie. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Mind you, I won’t be letting it go, I will pursue this untill I get my Blue Ray player as the deal suggested for purchasing a 40″ LCD Series 6 Samsung television.

You should be able to get a 46″ 650 series for around $2600AUD.

I ordered a 46″ 650 last week. $3499. Can’t wait to get it. Decided on this tele after reading reviews from the US. Sounds awesome. Will rate it when I get. And yeah, I agree why do we get ripped off on price?

Why is it that the new Samsung Series 6, 46" cost so much more here in Australian than it does in the U.S.

Discounted price at Amazon.com - $1989.77 USD (even after adding 10% to cover sales tax this still comes in at around $2335 AUD.)

Full price $2899.99 USD ($3073.00 AUD)

I think that Samsung Australia is taking advantage of Australian Customers given that the full price is expected to be $3849. What a joke.
