This movie was classic Indy up until Marion was reintroduced, then all the scenes she is in ruined it.

Plus the whole alien thing was absolutely stupid, thats what happens when you get a retarded director like Lucas to help you write a movie.

Spot on. This movie totally sucked. I woke up this morning and watched the trilogy to get into the fully Indy sprit. Oh the disappointment. This review is is spot on except for forgetting about the ant scene stolen straight for The Mummy (Shame). Its like Spider Man 3 all over again. As the credits rolled I felt the same sick empty feeling that Spider Man 3 gave me. At least Batman is just around the corner.

OK, sure some things where a little corny, the swinging on the vines made me cringe a bit. But I still enjoyed it. It was fun and light hearted and that what I expect from an Indy movie. Now if this movie had been made 15 years ago, it would have been different story. I just think that maybe our standards as a movie going public have gone way up. I knew it would be corny, most likely not have a great story, but I didn’t care. To me, Indy is all about adventure and I think it was a good one. As for the ending. The dude is 60, let him get hitched.

Have you actually seen any of the previous movies? They're just as ridiculous and cheesy as this one. Hearts being ripped out whilst still beating, ghosts flying over the screen, knights that live for thousands of years...

Yes he flies through the air in a fridge and survives... so what? He's Indiana Jones!

I think you hyped yourself up too much and hence couldn't enjoy it. I thought it was great, and I'm a huge Indy fan!
