@Lagunatic: Uh. Have you calibrated your system? Sounds like a lag problem. It's pretty accurate otherwise...up to 16ths I believe.

I would love it if they just made a frickin drum controller that didn't require you to play ahead of the actual beat!!! The RB drums SUCK! As a musician, I found it extremely confusing to listen to the rhythm/tempo of a RB song while having to play a 1/8th note ahead of the actual beat.

Hopefully GH4 gets it right.

Also the "can't include lyrics" in "creat a song" mode is for copyright reasons. Another reason why you won't be able to insert your own mp3 or anything.

Also each person can only do 5 songs at first and then can get "upgrades" to have 10 songs on the server and shit like that.

No RB instrument compatibility because Activision are complete douches.

The drumset is pretty cool and looks very close to the Rock Band one except for having 3 main pads and 2 "cymbals" which look somebody cut a 1/4th section out of a cymbal and put them on a pole. Still kinda cool. Bass pedal is just like RB.

The only problem is that Neversoft makes absolutely HORRIBLE note charts and managed to screw up an unscrewupable formula of fun.

Also they have horrid DLC support compared to Harmonix.

While I'm psyched for another music game I fear they'll use their name recognition of Guitar Hero and sacks full of money to throw around some clout and get big name exclusivity and then totally botch it by either giving it horrible notecharts or just not living up to their DLC promises like in the past.

The make your own song feature cannot include any vocals/lyrics and is done like a "make a note chart note by note" or "kinda sorta play it on the controller and GH will record" it way. Kinda neat, but will take a LOT of patience to make something good.

So how long will it take for someone to come out with cymbal accessories so I don't have to buy MORE FUCKING DRUMS. I abso-fucking-lutely love my drums, but they take up like a quarter of the space in front of my couch. My wife would never, EVER, let me buy another set.

My god... what a pain to have all these equipment lying about. Presumably GH4 will not work with existing RB guitars and you will be forced to get 2 more "custom" GH4 ones. I'm not sure that adding two more drums pads is all that revolutionary and worth the extra clutter around the house.

As far as "creating" songs, if it's not importing CD tracks or MP3s, I don't have time to bother with it.

You are going to have a hard time getting people to buy a whole second set of toy drums. Especially anyone old enought to have a wife or live-in girlfriend.
It is hard enough to get the ladies to allot space for your toys. RB drums plus GH drums will just be ridiculous.

It has been said but I am compelled to agree. I already have Rock Band, after trading in GH3 (keeping the guitar). I don't have room for a second set of drums.
So if GH4 *requires* 6 pads instead of it working with my RB 4-pad drums and 6 pads being optional, then no way am I buying GH4.

If there will truly be user created songs, user generated online content would be amazing. Bolth of these combind would make there be an unlimited track list assuring dominance over rockband. Although im sure rockband 2 will be a good game as well.
