USB Modular Hub from, Surprise, Brando
Yesterday, Brando chose not to release any new products. I wonder why—maybe they thought someone might not like it. It's a four-way USB hub that also brings colour to your desk. I say a pot of paint does just the same (give Brando five years and they'll probably come up with USB paint). All this USB nonsense begs one question, though:

Where's the option for "Hell No!"

@skittlzncombos:30 USB ports... One question. Where do you connect the hub? Lets develop a cable which plugs the hub into a regular socket and then charge the car with it... Then develop a third cable which eliminates the need for usb. Then finally create a new type of cable so you can charge your laptop with your car.

They're like the kings of USB or something.

Just wait until electric cars are more popular. Brando will try to sell you a USB Car Charger. Only requires 30 usb ports to power!

I'm going to play pedant on this one and point out that it's not modular at all. Modular would be if you could click on extra cubes as needed. This is just a 4 port hub that is a bit whimsical. It has shades of the Windows logo and shades of Tetris bricks, but almost completely fails to satisfy any aesthetic goal.
I'm still waiting for a hub that has software controlled ports. I mean, what's the point of having crap you can plug into your computer if your computer can't control it? A USB light is a lot more useful if I can have it switch on when I get email, or turn on the USB fan to show I'm maxing CPU usage. Screw these Zune-esque announcements of color tweaks, I want some real technical features!

I plan on using this hub to connect all 3 of my Lacie "brick" harddrives

@skittlzncombos: No, it's a slow charger that charges from a single USB port.
In just a week, you can have enough energy to back out of your driveway!!
