NVIDIA Motorcycle Casemod is the Fastest Computer On Two Wheels, Kinda
Posted by Gizmodo US Edition at 10:59 AM on April 7, 2008
There are roadwarriors with their ultraportables and then there's master modder Dennis Ilyin, who took computing on the go literally with this ambitious motorcycle casemod. While the two-wheeled computing wonder lacks an engine, it more than makes up for it with massive LED-lit water tanks and what's sure to be ample processing power. The compu-bike was part of an NVIDIA-sponsored modding contest and actually came in second to this green thing. Fair? Unfair? Take a look at additional pics after the jump and you tell us.

I don't see any video cards in the motherboard on the motorcycle; maybe thats why nVidia didn't give 1st to it

Um, look at the motherboard. Nothings plugged in. Where are the SLi cards the bike professes? That think will be a wire nightmare when it's actually finished.

How could this come in SECOND to THAT thing??? How wonderfully overclocked could you get your computer to be if it was air cooled like a Harley?

for a case, everything is kind exposed and toucable. Which kind of negates a case.

Tacky IMO.
There's one in the read link that looks like a giant valve which I would say is the best of the lot, the rest are just a bit boring; all green lights and lack of taste.

That makes me want a electric motorbike with an integrated low-power computer and a screen / dashboard that runs software gauges in addition to a Linux-based OS.

@aznplayer213: umm... yeah... maybe?
@Papsky: Yeah I think it can run Crysis at a decent framerate... like 1, or 6 frames.... if your lucky.

Be really cool id somehow the rear wheel could spin up .... for some reason. Really cool mod, that little bike would make a cool little pocket rocket.

I thought the whole point of case modding was that people who are into it just don't have the money to buy a car and pimp it.
@aznplayer213: Are ALL of your comments porn related?

Awesome, an SLI bike!! So it basically won't work in most situations and if it does it will maybe be a tiny bit faster.

Uh, where is the case? I see the mobo dangling from the bike, but shouldn't it actually be encased?
The Green thingy doesn't do it for me. I like the one captioned "Power can be Elegant" and the one that looks like a huge gun.

I think the carbon fiber-y one with the amber lighting should've won.
I'll agree with many of you, most of those designs are in poor taste. What's up with the one that looks like a camouflaged vacuum cleaner?
I do see some cards in one of the shots; it seems complete, they just didn't use any of the legacy slots.
