I work for a Hotel and we have purchased 60 kogan TV's. Thirty were standard defination and 30 were Hd Televisions - not with DVD's. The 30 standard TV's - None have broken down but the picture is poor. The remote control units are dreadful, cheap and respond dreadfully. They are so frustrating and you have to stand about 1 meter from the TV. The 30 Hd TV's - not with DVD - the picture is good. The remote's however, like the standard TV's, are really poor. Some are good but about half, you have to be very close to the television to change channels etc. It's only now we're finding some faults. Five out of 30 - is it good or not, I don't know. Two had nothing on the screen, just blank. Two have stuck in surround sound - can't change. One wont turn on when it's warm. One only HD TV we have with DVD, won't play a DVD. For a Hotel, there cheap. It looks like they may only last about 12 months. We're looking at buying more, but is it worth it? To get them repaired they have to go back to Melbourne.
