Sony’s Alpha A900 practically blew us away when we first had an opportunity to grope it, which was way back during PMA ’08 in January. Well, it looks like the Sony lads are again showing off their 25MP full-frame pro sensor toting DSLR in Japan, along with a launch date of August/September. Our pals at Master Chong were able to grab a whole slew of new images of the device, as well as shots of the neat looking, clear-bodied iteration pictured above. [Master Chong; Thanks, Felix]

Just wondering: how many of you are contemplating seriously to buy the A900 once it comes out? And what are your main reasons for buying or not buying.

I (for one) would really love to own this. I think there have been far to many haters coming from the established D-SLR makers, who look down on Sony and show no love for models like the A700 and (more recently) the A200, A300 (which I own) and A350. I hope this is a massive success for Sony as I’m sure it will have a far more sane price point than the Canon EOS-1Ds MkIII.
