Mozilla Says Firefox 3 Is Ready for Your Mom

7:40AM March 21, 2008 | Matt Buchanan

I’ve actually been running Firefox 3 since it hit beta, and have been pushing it on people since beta 2, when the sweet new address bar hit. But Mozilla says that it’s now is ready for the ungeeky plebes to climb aboard, at beta number four. Previously, they considered the ride potentially too bumpy for the infirm and elderly. The fact that MOST people still use IE makes it the best browser. The fact that no one uses Safari makes it the worst.

Firefox is good medium ground but lately I have had a few crashes and with IE having almost all Firefox’s features you gotta ask the question; why bother?

Oh and to those talking about speed does a few milliseconds make any real difference?

The fact that MOST people still use IE makes it the worst browser from a security perspective.

For people trying to write malicious software using vulnerabilities in a browser they will go IE most of the time. Simply because more people use it.

Unless there are massive security holes in Firefox. But I am guessing there are more or less the same ammount between them.
