2008 Maker Faire Announced

DIY gadgeteers, fire up your engines: the dates for Make magazine's first 2008 Maker Faire have been unveiled as May 3rd and 4th. The San Mateo County Fairgrounds in San Mateo, California will again be the venue. Expect to see all sorts of wonderful (and weird) DIY science, arts, crafts and engineering projects in action, just like last year. We'll be keeping you posted, of course, but if you want to go there in person remember that discount ticket sales end April 25th. [Maker Faire]

Oooh. Thats the giant Mousetrap game that was brought out to the playa for Burning Man a couple times.
I've never gotten to see it work fully. It usually hangs up somewhere along the way....just like the regular sized game :P

Hey those photos look a little dusty. I could swear that was a dry alkaline lake bed... You sure that photo was taken at Maker Faire???

The life sized Mousetrap Game was at Maker Fair but those photos of it are from Burning Man. Don't know why as there are like a bazillion photos of Maker Fair on the interwebs. Regardless, I went the last two years and thought they were great. Take a kid. If you don't have a kid, borrow one.
Oh, and that safe must weigh like a ton or something. I felt it through the ground when it hit.
