Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player Now Just $50

I know we reported on this earlier, but Logan over at Kotaku AU has confirmed that Australian Xbox 360 HD DVD drives are now just $50 here as well. That means we still get it cheaper than the US, what with exchange rates and all. I hope Apple is paying attention to this turn of events…

    That’s awesome! I wonder if you could use this drive on a normal computer via usb… double this up with all the bargain basement HD-DVDS, and that’s a cheap way to grab some sweet HD movie rips.

    at this price you could buy one for the xbox and one for your pc. For those that already have one it’s a chance to buy a backup while the hardware is still available in case something goes wrong

    I’m using my $39 JB hifi bought one now on Vista :D
