Macs have never been for serious computer users.

MickeyM, you need to be a little less obvious about your iLove.

Mac's have always been for people that are more about form, than function. More about showing off, than actually working.

I think the macbook air is waste of time and effort, and is nothing more than an attempt for Apple to continue to appear "innovative" when they have nothing.

Seriously, Is this the best thing they could use to show off at Macworld ?

Pathetic.

More Pathetic is the fact that Apple have once again shoved their ipod nano sized penis's rudely up the end users tightest of tight anal passages, and people are STILL loving it.

Talk about an abusive relationship that one should really get of...

No firewire… um, firewire target mode anyone? one great feature that’s unique to apple gone. no swapable battery… big no-no in laptops. drive? you CAN get by without it, just leave home prepared next time. and you really don’t need ethernet if you have wireless n. love the design, and if that’s where new macbooks are going (minus battery) can’t wait. ahead of its time (when cds, dvds, blu-rays are none existent) and way too pricey.
Conclusion – wait till the price for making them comes down, add back in firewire, and have a swappable battery.

After having my Mac Book Pro's Battery DIE and then Expand to 4 times it's original size.
1 month after the warranty finished.
This computer will be COMPLETE Destroyed in one year and one month.
It's a disposable computer with an expensive price tag.
Sure you can replace the battery, if the old one hasn't buckled and broken all the other closely packed components.

WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO THROUGH IT AWAY IN ONE YEAR

um...no fire wire, no disk drive, small hard drive, no swappable battery - no big deal.

remember when they brought out the Quadra or whatever it was without a floppy drive and everyone flipped out? Could be the same sort of thing with the lack of a super drive, but still - if you want to pop in a cd or dvd you don't want to find another computer to put the disc into - and if the whole point of thin is to lighten your load that you prob don't want to carry the external drive either. or the USB modem, or the USB ethernet...

ok, so it's thin - man, how many of you out there have been complaining that your current macbook pro or ibook is too thick anyway?

they've solved a problem nobody had.

show me a fast as shit macbook pro with 1T hard drive that never displays that damned spinning beach ball. ever.

MickeyM, I'm glad you know its durable.. Its been out for what.. 0 Days!! WOW! I cannot compare any other laptop to that kind of Durability!!

You cannot remove the battery! YOU CANNOT REMOVE IT!! ITS INSIDE AND YOU CAN'T TAKE IT OUT! When your on a long trip and your battery dies and you go 'oh snap before i'd just whack in my second backup but the battery is hidden inside away from my grubby grubby mittens!'

This is an expensive Craptop to not be able to do anything but view internet and photos.. Its $300 more than a top spec MacBook.. And a few hundred less than the entry level MBP.. If you just want to veiw internet and photos buy an EeePC, BUY 5!!
