Gizmondo's Ferrari-Crashing Exec Goes Free
Posted by Jason Chen at 6:04 AM on January 23, 2008
In case you still cared about the Ferrari crashing, money embezzling, portable gaming device making Gizmondo exec, Stefan "Fat Stefan" Eriksson has just been set free from jail. If you're worried that he'll be back up to his old ways, driving around roads tearing cars in half, he's now awaiting transport to either Sweden or Germany, because he's no longer welcome in the US. Kinda like his Gizmondo gadget, we'd say. [The Local via Jalopnik]

If you used the TV-BGone remote to turn his car off, none of this would be happening. Instead, you're too busy screwing with Moto presentations and Guitar Hero samplers.

Is that 'Fat' an official nickname or did you just make that up on the go?
It's funny how you (or at east I) expect somebody peeling himself out of a Ferrari to be lean and athletic and tanned looking and almost invariably somebody wobbly and pasty has a hard time heaving his carcass out of the lean and mean car? Shows that image still works by transfer. And I thought I was pretty immune to advertising. *Sigh*

@ DUSTYBUTT :
Gizmodo and GizmoNdo are two different companies...or so they want us to think.
Fight the power Gizmo(n)do, we're with you.
Yes...the trend in law breaking is too familiar....

just finished reading the wired story... This guy was pretty smart to get away with all that crap he did. But it still shows you how somone like that can be stupid enough to get into a 200mph car accident on a "smooth" road. I say "smooth" because PCH isnt that smoothest ride in SO-CAL

The biggest mistake he and his company ever made was buying out Warthog Studios and, along with it, the license rights to Richard Burns Rally (the most realistic rally-racing simulation of all time), which now ends up redundant and with very little (read: no) chance of ever having a sequel or any new official content.
